Last week we started something new: ‘Chapel time’.  In comments you quote a scripture that was new to you and God highlighted it just for YOU or something you may have read so many times but God made it fall on you new.  It may have been from this reading, church (if you went, but no judgement if you stayed in your cozy bed or don’t belong to one), a song…etc.   But truth be told,  I was 90% on the side of staying in bed and ‘Chapel time’ inspired me to go to church so I would have something to share.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
All things…the diagnoses, the death, the rejection, the sold house, the everything…..we can’t accept the good and not take the bad. He uses it all….even dry seasons when God seems so far from me….He isn’t…it is me who is far from him. He allows the dry for me to grow.

  2. We’re doing a series on breakthroughs in your faith. Today’s kick to the teeth was a simple illustration on how gaining and having faith in The Lord should go:
    “-Go from frustration to salvation
    -Go from salvation to transformation
-Take a next step towards a Christ centered life.”
Look at those as if they’re 3 steps. A lot of folks, (myself included) get stuck in step two. We experience salvation but we feel like we crossed the finish line and we’re done. When in reality God is still calling you. He wants to completely transform you. And if you’re consistently seeking Christ, then through that transformation, you will get closer and closer to a Christ like life!

  3. Matthew 7:24-27 New International Version (NIV)

    The Wise and Foolish Builders
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

I heard such a great message Sunday and everything connected to exactly what we are setting our goal to do this year!! The Word is our strong foundation! It’s alive and active. To build a life on the Word of God we must hear it, read it, study it, memorize it, and do it!
